December 3, 2004, Newsletter Issue #131: Bowflex Recall

Tip of the Week

Remember that a larger person needs a stronger piece of equipment. If you weigh 120 lb and bench press 25 lb dumbbells, you can get away with a light weight bench, but if you weigh 220 and press 75`s, you need something sturdier. Check for cracks, worn cables, and other signs of wear before using, at home or gym if you have any questions about maintenance. The equipment should not creak and groan when you use it.Do some research to make sure a given piece of home equipment is good for you, take it back if it doesn`t seem right, and keep it in good repair.
